At Corbett Engineering we work with companies to lower their bottom line product costs. Three main factors that we address to lower these costs are the product design, manufacturing process and the manufacturer.
Design: We do this by working with design engineers to find the best process, material and finish to the meet their design requirements. Our best results have been achieved when the design is still flexible and all our suggestions can be implemented. We have included some tools that product developers and design engineers can use to develop lower cost products. Please go to our design page for more information regarding processes and design guidelines.
Manufacturing: Even when the design is set significant savings can be achieved by selecting the right manufacturing process. Something as simple as choosing the right machine tool to manufacture a part may result in significant savings. The manufacturing page discusses the economics of the various processes.
Sourcing: We have domestic sources and offshore sources to meet your specific needs. The lowest price part does not always have the lowest total cost. We work with you to determine your needs and use our experience in domestic and offshore sourcing to find the best solution for you. On the sourcing page we outline the issues that you should consider in choosing your manufacturing partner.
